– Garlic powder: I like to use garlic powder in this recipe because fresh garlic tends to crisp up too much or burn.
– Onion powder: Onion powder is dehydrated garlic flakes. It’s a wonderful way to add flavor without having to chop or crush fresh Onion.
– Paprika: Paprika adds depth of flavor to this recipe and also a beautiful color. You can use any paprika you like, such a sweet paprika or smoked paprika.
– Italian seasoning: This is a blend of dried herbs like oregano, thyme, and basil. It gives the chicken a wonderful flavor.
– Salt and pepper: Freshly ground salt and pepper.

Crispy, juicy air fryer chicken thighs are the ideal thing to prepare tonight. The chicken comes out crispy on the outside and juicy on the inside every single time!
Ingredients
- 4 chicken thighs with bones and skin
- 1 tbsp olive oil
- 1 tsp paprika
- 1 tsp Italian seasoning
- 1/2 tsp garlic powder
- 1/2 tsp onion powder
- 1/2 tsp salt
- 1/2 tsp black pepper
Instructions
- Preheat your air fryer to 400 degrees for 5 minutes with the top closed.
- Combine all dry ingredients in a small bowl and stir to mix well.
- Rub olive oil evenly on both sides of each chicken thigh, then sprinkle them with the dry mixture until they are thoroughly coated on both sides.
- Place the chicken thighs into the air fryer basket in a single layer, not touching each other and skin side down.
- Cook for 10 minutes, flipping once skin side up halfway through cooking for another 10 minutes.
- For extra crispy skin cook for an extra 4 minutes.
