Air Fryer Steak

This air fryer steak is perfectly cooked and so juicy.

The air fryer creates a wonderfully crispy outer edge while keeping the inside nice and juicy.

The best part is that it doesn’t create a messy grease splatter like pan frying does.

Top the steak with this herb butter garlic that melts over the hot steak creating a luxurious experience when you bite into it.

I find that thicker cuts of steak work best in the air fryer, such as a ribeye, filled mignon or New York strip.

This air fryer steak recipe is easy to follow and only takes a few minutes to make.

This is a great low carb and keto friendly recipe that is also gluten-free.

Steak in The Air Fryer

Air fryers are a great way to cook steak.

The air fryer circulates hot air around the steak, cooking it evenly and sealing in the juices.

This method produces a juicy and tender steak with a crispy crust every single time.

I also love the fact that cleanup is a breeze with the air fryer.

If you are having a dinner party this is the way to cook your steak.

Ingredients For Steak in the Air Fryer

– Steak: I used a 1-inch thick ribeye steak for this recipe. You can also use a sirloin, New York strip, or any other thick cut of steak.

– Olive oil: This helps to seal in the juices and keep the steak moist.

– Garlic herb butter: This Garlic Herb Butter is an easy recipe. It’s a compound butter made with garlic, herbs, and butter.

– Salt and pepper: Season the steak with salt and pepper to taste. As always I like to use sea salt and freshly ground black pepper.

How To Cook Steak In An Air Fryer

Preheat the air fryer: Preheat the air fryer to 400 degrees F.

Coat with olive oil: Coat the steak with olive oil on both sides. This helps to seal in the juices and keep the steak moist.

Season the steak: Season the steak on both sides with salt and pepper, be generous.

Air fry the steak: Place the steak in the air fryer basket and cook for 4 minutes, I like my steak medium rare. (see doneness guide below in the FAQ’s)

Flip the steak: Flip the steak over and cook for an additional 4 minutes, or until it reaches the desired level of doneness.

Remove from the air fryer: Remove the steak from the air fryer and let it rest for 5 minutes before cutting into it.

Tip: Make sure the steak is a room temperature before cooking. I like to take it out of the fridge 30 minutes before cooking. This helps the steak cook evenly.

To make a complete meal I like to pair this fried steak with:

Mashed Cauliflower

Roasted Brussels Sprouts

Creamed Spinach

Roasted Green Beans
