I love their refreshing flavor and how easy they are to make.
But, most margaritas are loaded with sugar, which makes them a no-no on a low carb diet.
This Low Carb Champagne Margarita is the perfect solution!

Are Margaritas Keto Friendly?
No, classic margaritas are not keto-friendly because they’re made with high-fructose corn syrup and other sweeteners. However, tequila is a low-carb alcohol, so you can make a keto-friendly margarita by using sugar-free sweeteners.
A regular margarita has about 30 grams of carbs, but this Low Carb Champagne Margarita has only 4g of carbs.
Ingredients For Low Carb Champagne Margarita
– Tequila: I used silver tequila, but you can use any type of tequila that you like.
– Champagne: I used a dry champagne, but you can use any type of champagne or sparkling wine that you like.
– Lime juice: Freshly squeezed lime juice is best, but you can also use bottled lime juice but I find is not as fresh and good as freshly squeezed lime juice.
– Orange extract: This is an orange extract adds a little bit of sweetness and depth of flavor to the cocktail. You can find it in your grocery store.
– Sugar free maple syrup: You can use any sugar free sweetener that you like, but I find the maple syrup gives it the best flavor.
– Lime wedges: For garnish
– Ice: Crushed ice or ice cubes
How To Make Low Carb Champagne Margarita
- Add tequila, champagne, lime juice, orange extract, and sugar free maple syrup to a cocktail shaker filled with ice.
- Shake well until the outside of the shaker is frosty.
- Rim glasses with lime wedge and dip salt.
- Pour margaritas into glasses and garnish with lime wedge.
- Enjoy!

- 16 oz champagne
- 2 oz lime juice
- 1 tsp orange extract
- 2 tbsp sugar free maple syrup
- Lime wedges for garnish
