This low carb baked chicken breast recipe is great for meal prep, as it can be eaten hot or cold.

There are hundreds of ways to prepare it, but my favorite has to be with this amazing butter sauce. Not only is the flavor out of this world , but it’s quick and easy when you have a busy schedule.

Ingredients to make Chicken Breast With Garlic Butter Sauce recipe

– Chicken breasts: I use either boneless or on the bone chicken breast (whichever is on sale). 

– Garlic: If you have fresh garlic, use it instead of the garlic powder. Chop or minced garlic will do.

– Butter: The sauce in this recipe, butter, adds a lot of flavor to the chicken. I use my garlic herb butter recipe to make it tasty heavenly.

– Parmesan cheese: You can use fresh or shredded parmesan cheese. Freshly grated is the best option. I prefer to buy the big chunks and grate it as needed.

– Cilantro: I use fresh cilantro (this is one of my favorite herbs). If you don’t like cilantro, use parsley instead.

– Olive oil: Extra virgin olive oil is my top favorite oil.

How to make Chicken Breast With Garlic Butter Sauce in the oven

  1. Preheat oven to 400°F (205˚C)
  2. Rub the chicken with olive oil and season with Italian seasoning, salt and pepper.
  3. Arrange Chicken breast in a baking dish.
  4. Add butter all around chicken breast.
  5. Sprinkle grated parmesan cheese, garlic and chopped parsley over the chicken.
  6. Cover with aluminum foil and bake for 20 minutes.
  7. Remove aluminum foil and continue baking for an additional 10 minutes.
  8. Remove from oven and baste with butter sauce in the baking dish.

  • 1 tbsp (15 ml) olive oil
  • 1 tsp (1 g) Italian season
  • 6 cloves garlic minced
